This association has grown out of my own personal frustration. The lack of professionalism I encountered when I first began working on the Internet was appalling. At first I simply struggled. Then I began to write about it - and I made a lot of noise.

I had anticipated that I might upset the online community with my rather in-your-face manner of approaching this subject. Instead, I found myself suddenly in demand to answer questions regarding professionalism and how to run an ethical online business.

Finally, I realized that most of the problem was a simple lack of knowledge. It occurred to me that rather than "hollering" about it, I could provide online companies with standards toward which they could strive. iCop™ is the result of that idea.

I have selected our Founding Members carefully. I wanted each to be a paragon of professionalism in his/her own online business. I wanted each to be a person from whom others could learn - a person they could trust and respect. I wanted each to be as concerned about online professionalism as I am - and as willing to do something about it. Something solid and constructive.

I have carefully chosen top professionals, with diverse talents. These are business owners from around the world, in many different fields, with a variety of knowledge - each having unequaled expertise to offer to the members of iCop.™

Our Founders are the very foundation of the organization. These are the people who abundantly share their talents to make iCop™ successful. All share a high level of "caring" - equal to my own.  Our Founding Members are listed in the iCop™ Founding Members Directory.

Professionalism is not measured by how large a company is - or by how well-known. It is measured by the knowledge - and use - of professional business practices. It is measured by doing the job - and doing it to the best of one's ability. It is measured by the willingness to learn as well as to teach. Even more importantly, it is measured by the highest ethical standards, by commitment to the customer and by a giving back to the world in general.
