iCop Founding Member, Heather Colman, sends this message to you:

------------
A HUGE thank you to everyone who is joining us in promoting the 7th Annual Internet Toy Drive. Your participation is SO MUCH appreciated!

We have a new type of graphic ad option available that has not yet been added to the Toys for Tots website.

It's called a PeelAway Ad. And it does just that. When you mouseover a small graphic tucked away in the upper right hand corner of your screen, it peels away the page and displays a much larger graphic ad.

You can see a live sample of this ad here:

www.customdesigngraphics.com

The color and the slight movement of the tiny graphic in the corner really catches you're eye. And of course, curiosity gets the best of you and you've just got to see what's behind there.

I've been testing the effectiveness of this ad for several months on both of my sites and I've gotten some very good feedback. People ARE looking at it and that's exactly what we want.

The Peel Away ad is run by a small simple script. The setup is extremely easy and can be done in less than 10 minutes. No special skills are needed.

The script to run this Peel Away ad is available for $37 and you can get it here:

www.customdesigngraphics.com/cgi-bin/parabots/x.cgi?id=1&tid=6

I made the Internet Toy Drive graphic especially for this Peel Away script. This special graphic ad (the exact same graphic ad you see at www.customdesigngraphics.com is available free to those, who purchase the script through the above link and use it to promote the Toys for Tots program.

After you have purchased the script, contact me here:

www.customdesigngraphics.com/support.html

Include your order number and I'll send you the graphic. If you need help setting it up, I will provide email support to get you up and running.

And don't forget... This script can be used to promote other products and services too. It's a good investment for any online business owner who wants a new yet effective way to advertise.

Heather

“To everything there is a season ...”

I haven't even come close to answering all the email I've received over the past couple of weeks. It's been amazing!

I'm going to try to shorten up these newsletter issues until the first of the year. I (like everyone else) have a LOT to do!

Several things seem to happen this time of year - in addition to all the holidays.

For one thing, with the coming of a brand new year, it's very appropriate to do mental reviews and think about how we can make the New Year better. I'm all over that one right now.

Another thing that happens is that people seem to start coming at me from all directions wanting me to promote things for them. I start wondering if I'm nothing more than a public service and no one's told me, yet.

I'm especially annoyed when it comes from people I never hear from otherwise. I'll be doing something about that when I make the organization changes next year.

It's been even worse than usual this year due to my own newsletter content. Seems when I go off about the state of internet business, everyone suddenly has THE answer - and I should promote it.

Well, excuse me, but there IS no single answer. If there were, we wouldn't be in this state. It's going to be a matter of everyone working together - each teaching in our own arenas. We can't keep it within a small circle of people. We need to EDUCATE others.

I get email like the following almost every day:

------------
Dear Dr. Scott:

There are few companies I bought into their programs since April & May 07, investing all together upward of $40,000.00 with promises of monthly returns of $1000s. But since then I have not received a cent.

I am wondering what to do to recover my money. Is there anything your organization can do to help me? I am on the brink of bankruptcy. My debt has multiplied as a result of this and I can't afford to service any longer.

Please advise me ASAP!

Best Regards,

Lee
------------

I've left off the last name so as not to embarrass this person. The thing is, there is nothing I CAN do to help! Once you buy into all the worthless programs and products, the money's just gone.

The thing that bothers me the most is how desensitized we can become. On a busy week, I've let ads get past me that had NO business in this newsletter. So, I'm not immune.

That's going to change, too. If you're making claims in ads you want me to run, you'd better be able to PROVE those claims - because I'm going to insist that you do exactly that!

So, as I said, no one thing is going to be the magic bullet. It takes the whole group.

We have long-time members who might even be considered “gurus” in the internet marketing field who SHOULD be out there supporting our foundations of integrity and ethical behavior in online business. Instead, they have become part of that generally low class pack.

When I do iCop's revamp, I'll be asking for more specific commitments from some of our more well-known members. Anybody who doesn't have the cojones to stand up and support what iCop stands for doesn't need to let the door hit them in the butt.

I know I'm hard to support among the “gurus” sometimes because I'm so hard on them. Well, gee - if they didn't act like such low-lifes, I wouldn't have to BE hard on them!

Anyway, it no longer matters much to me. I'm going to pull away from that crowd and leave them to wallow in their stuff. Anyone who continues to be a part of iCop had better be prepared to take a very high road! And, that means walkin' the walk rather than just talkin' the sh** some are so good at.

Believe me, I am VERY aware of the lack of integrity in the world. It's at EVERY level. And, all of it can be traced directly back to greed.

Sad, sad, sad.

Leaving You With a Smile

Income Tax Auditor

A man had fallen between the rails in a subway station. People were all crowding around trying to get him out before the train ran over him.

They were all shouting, "Give me your hand!" But the man would not reach up.

Ralph elbowed his way through the crowd and leaned over the man. "Friend," he asked, "what is your profession?"

"I am an income tax auditor," gasped the man.

"In that case," said Ralph, "take my hand!"

The man immediately grasped Ralph's hand and was hauled to safety and a lengthy accident related delay was safely avoided.

Ralph turned to the amazed by-standers. "Never ask a tax man to *give* you anything, you fools."
